In this article, I will outline the requirements for one to work in UK and earn a monthly income of around £2500.

Requirements
To be able to work as a medical professional in the UK, you must apply for a "Health and Care Worker Visa" type of visa. To be able to obtain a residence and work permit, you must meet the following requirements:
- Have qualifications as a doctor, nurse, professional in the health sector, as well as a professional in the field of social welfare. For care givers, you need a care giving certification from a recognized institution such as Red Cross Certification. Do a six weeks course at a nearby Red Cross Society and get a certificate.
- Have work experience in the relevant field. Do an attachment at a local hospital for at least 3 months.
- Attain a "pass" in ielts English test. There is no pass or fail mark on the IELTS English test. Instead, you receive a level or grade score between 1 and 9. This may include a half-point, such as 5.5 for example. A Doctor needs to achieve an IELTS score of 7.5 overall. A Nurse must score at least 7.0 in their reading, listening and speaking, and a score of 6.5 in writing. For Assistants, the overall band score should be 6.5. Globally, the IELTS exam is available in 120 countries at over 1,100 test centres. In Zimbabwe there are two centers which are Harare and Bulawayo.
- Do a TB test. Please note - applicants for UK visa longer than six (6) months must obtain this medical certificate before submitting their visa application, so this is a must.
- Obtain a police Clearance and a passport.
- A Driver's licence is a must.
- Have contracted with a clinic or healthcare institution in the UK. You can search here (It is updated daily).
- Have a "certificate of sponsorship" from the clinic or health institution where you will work later, complete with detailed information about your role or position later.
